something good will bloom (2025) is a series of glass vases inspired by resilient botanical life that thrive in formerly militarized sites in Indonesia, the U.S., Ghana, and Taiwan. The creative process involved working with interdisciplinary artist Erin P. Hoffman to turn Expl’odeur, a VR-sculpted 3D print referencing both the explosive impact of the WWII-era MK2 “pineapple” grenade and the spice trade, into a glass vessel. Lidless and translucent, the former symbol of violence is clarified by light and transmuted into a new vessel for an alternative to emerge.
